Join us this June for JAZZ at MOCA featuring Jessy Díaz.
Jessy Díaz is a highly motivated and energetic musician (singer, percussionist, musicologist, and teacher) with international exposure. Originally from Cuba, she focuses as a performer on Latin jazz, cha-cha-cha, danzón, son, mambo, and bolero. Not only is she an excellent singer, but she is also proficient on a wide range of musical instruments. As a multi-instrumentalist artist and music-teaching professional, she endeavors to give her all in every performance and project. She is fully committed to providing a solid education and instilling a love of music in all her students. A well-rounded music professional, she performs live on stage, works on several studio recording projects, and is a dynamic, energetic teacher; she is also a sought-after lecturer in Cuban and Afro-Cuban music.
JAZZ at MOCA is South Florida’s longest-running free outdoor jazz concert series and one of the museum’s most beloved public programs for in-person open air musical entertainment. Since 1999, Jazz at MOCA has been presented on the MOCA Plaza on the last Friday of the month. Hundreds of concert-goers have enjoyed a free concert, activations, and pay as you wish admission to the museum from 7 to 10 p.m.
Seating starts at 7 PM, Concert begins at 8 PM. Registration includes access to the MOCA galleries until 10pm. Guests do not need to check-in upon arrival.
**Please note, seating is first-come first-serve, but you're welcome to bring your own chairs.**
