Rezime
This season, MOCA Makers welcomes participants to delve into how memory, material, and meaning endure through artistic expression. Archives as Practice reimagines MOCA’s well-loved monthly workshops as a focused series exploring archival methods.
This series is curated in collaboration with Nadege Green, founder of Black Miami-Dade, a history and creative studio dedicated to honoring Miami’s Black past. Memory work is expansive and essential, reminding us that archives are not only found in boxes or institutions but live within us and the communities we create. This workshop positions food as a living archive and the conch as both material and method of remembrance.
